Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

We sure have a lot to be thankful for!  First, we had a gorgeous setting moon in the morning.

Smokin' Turkey
We spent most of the morning preparing food. I love this part. The smells are so good and the anticipation is great!

My very own turkey (It's really lamb but in a turkey shape)
Eating with the neighbors! I am under the table. Yanka wanted to make sure everyone had enough liquor to enjoy the day!

Our blessing to all of our four-legged and two-legged friends.

New Bed

It's pretty stressful picking out a new bed!  I've had my old one for a while now and I loved it, but my parents said that it was time for it to go.  I was not happy about it, but agreed to try to find a new one so we went shopping today.
Too Small!

How about that one up on on the top shelf?

Too Big! I like to snuggle in.

Just perfect!

A bounty of tomatoes

We have never had much luck growing tomatoes but this year . . . . what a crop!  Our new house faces south and they have flourished. Actually, they have taken over the back patio. I have less room to lay in the sun now. We are still harvesting in October although I am not allowed to eat any. Some people think that is what may have caused my recent gastro problems. I do eat anything on the ground so all is fair game.  Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful fall like we are!!

Bounty of the Sea

My Mom and Dad (mostly my Dad) have been fishing. Quite a bit of salmon have been caught so we are smoking this weekend. Unfortunately, I can't go out in the boat because I don't have a life jacket and certainly cannot swim!  I supervise the smoking instead. My papa has to go back to school next week. I've certainly enjoyed the summer with him!

We had quite a scare this weekend, but I am now fully recovered!  My mom says she is glad that I am writing this instead of her.  I'll spare you the details, but I had Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. But with prompt care from the Vet Hospital on Sunday, I was able to come back home today in pretty good shape. I'm back to my normal self tonight.  It was quite an expensive endeavor, but my parents say I was worth it.
I am on antibiotics, anit-diarrhea meds and bland dog food.

Summer Heat

It is super HOT here in Seattle. We are breaking records that were set in the 1880s!  We Frenchies don't do well in the heat. I just stay indoors and lay by the fan!

Can I come up . . . Please??

I'm not quite sure why my parents play this game with me. Apparently, they think I take up too much room on the bed and they say I snore.  They insist I sleep in my bed, but then I stand on it and give them this look.  It works every time.

Winston turns 7!!

I celebrated my birthday with our neighbors next year. My cake was yummy and I got several cards which are now displayed on our mantel. I am approaching middle age with this birthday, but still have lots of energy, LOVE playing and going any where with my parents!!  It's a good life!

Early Spring

I apologize to all my eastward friends .. . . but we have had another marvelous weekend here. Daffodils are blooming, I've been lounging in the sun and going for long walks. Feel sorry for all my Midwestern furry friends who are still inside sleeping by the fire.

Sunny January

We enjoyed a sunny, 63 degree day here in Seattle.  Happy hour was a treat outside on our patio after a day of working in the yard.

We made our annual trek down to Arizona for the holidays. We rented a van so we can take some stuff down and bring some things back. I was so excited that I wouldn't get out of the van while Mom was packing. I also had a great seat in a nice chair for the ride back!

I'm actually in the van here!

In Arizona, I got to spend Christmas with my Grandma Jary and Grandpa Dale. I also spent time with my cousins Paige and Idol. What a great time with pretty special people!

We had a beautiful fall here. One of the things I like about our new place is that we can walk down to Alki Beach. There are coffee shops, restaurants, beach volleyball, and of course, lots of dogs down there.

We took a trip to Boise .  . . one of our new favorite places and very dog friendly. Lots of sun, walking trails and good restaurants with outdoor seating for me.

My newest cousins, Camden and Kylee turned one in November. My Uncle Rodney and Aunt Kristi dressed them up as old people for Halloween! I was skeleton again for my Mom's office party.

One of the reasons that I haven't been writing, is that we moved in June!  I really miss running upstairs to see Grandma Yvonne and miss our walks, but the new (old - 1957) house is pretty nice and I have a lot more room. We've been busy doing a lot of work on it. I've been managing the contractors that keep coming and going while my folks are at work. New roof . . . new windows . . . new heating . . . new tile and carpet. I am exhausted!

We're almost finished with what we can do now.  Avocado carpeting is being replaced in a couple weeks. I can't wait. I roll around trying to scratch my back and get green fuzz all over me.
It has quite a nice view of the Sound and the mountains and the sunsets are spectacular. I just love how I can see out the windows so no one can sneak up on us.

The best feature though is our new neighbors!  My family has a penchant for finding good neighbors. Renata and Yanka often invite me over. I just love them.

Catching Up

Since I have had many people wondering about my status since I haven't blogged in a while, I thought I'd put the paws to the keyboard and provide some updates to all my friends. A special thanks to Darcy who got me motivated to write again thanks to a link to a another dog's blog. I couldn't be one-upped by a Dachshund!
