Happy 12th Birthday!

Year One!

I am 11!

Now that I have gotten older, it appears I have slowed down a bit in more ways than one.  I just noticed that my last post was a year ago when I turned 10!

I spent my birthday morning with my Granny Ren and Grandpa Bob. These are our amazing adopted family members who live next door.  They gave me this squeaky monkey but no way was I going to let go of it for the picture!

I thought I would share with you some highlights of my year.

I had to help my mom and dad with a bathroom remodel project. It was a lot of work but it looks good.  I cant use it though because I am not allowed to go to the bathroom in the house. We went to Home Depot A LOT!  I didn't understand why we couldn't get everything at once.  I guess that is how it is done???   Grouting was a messy job!

We watched lots of Iowa football.  Not a great season. I slept through most of it!

Our annual road trip to Arizona for Christmas.

Happy Birthday to me!!  10 years old today.  My mom made me a special birthday cake.  It was so yummy.  My birthday song was sung in English and then Polish.  Then I got my gifts.  A toy I have already hidden from anyone who might want to steal it!  Not that it has been a problem over the years with me being an only dog and all!


My dear friends and neighbors Bob and Renata (Polish singers) got me a nice card and a bottle of dog beer. Who knew!  Beer for dogs.  Perfect!  What a night.  I think I will take a nap. After all I am 10 now and prone to napping at all hours.

Spring trying to make its way to Seattle

There are definite signs of spring here, but it is still cold.  In true Frenchie fashion, I remain huddled by the heater or laying in any ray of sunshine that is now coming back into the kitchen.

Summer in Seattle!

Summer is my favorite season . . . Sleeping in, being home with my papa,  gardening, taking walks.   Life is good! Here are some snapshots of what I have been doing this summer. Even though Labor Day marks the end of summer, we have had a great one in Seattle.

Passing of my dear neighbor Yanka earlier in the Spring.  She cared for me every day when my Papa and Mama were at work. We are blessed to still have her children next door.  We miss her dearly.

Happy Birthday!!!

Happy 9th Birthday to me!!  I may look a little gray, but I am still very spry!  I may sleep a little more, but still love to play and take walks.  Okay, maybe I have a dermatologist and an eye specialist to deal with things that happen when one ages, but doesn't everyone!!!  Feeling very blessed with my family.  Love to all!

These spa days are overrated in my opinion!
