Christmas Spirit

We got our tree up today!  It has filled the house with Christmas Spirit. Other than the cold weather, I love the season. More treats . . . more toys . . . more time with my family!

Happy Halloween!

Wow! It was an exciting and exhausting day for me. I went trick or treating for the very first time. I was a bat!!!

I thought I might be able to actually fly, but that didn't quite work out.







First, I went trick-or-treating at my Mom's work. I got to go to every desk and get a treat!

 Then I got to wear my costume on the ferry. I got lots of attention and comments.

My last stop was at the neighbors house for a real trick-or-treat experience. I can't wait for next year. I think I want to be a cowboy!

Carpet Selection

It is a another beautiful September day in Seattle. We were picking out carpet for our Arizona house and I was helping. I ran right over and selected this one. Mom and Dad said they will go with my choice!

I also participated in a Frenchie Walk last weekend. You can see pictures of me and the other Frenchie's on my breeder's website at www.seattlefrenchbulldogs.com.  You can also see pictures of my nieces and nephews there. My half-sister Lacy is the mom.

Dog Days of Summer Near End

We've had great weather here in the NW for August and so far in September. I enjoy laying out on the patio with my Mom.

 Another benefit of September, is that I get to go back to daycare and play with all my dog friends. I was so exhausted on the first day, I couldn't even jump back into the car. It's fun to go to daycare, but it does mean more baths. I guess I get smelly.

It's been so dry here lately that the Olympics have a forest fire. The smoke actually makes for good sunsets.

Last Stop on Three-Week Journey

Our last stop before home was Pendleton, Oregon. Some of my friends at work are from there so I wanted to see what the whole Round-Up experience was. I kept hearing people say "Let'er Buck" so I wanted to see for myself.

We stopped for lunch at the Prodigal Son. I hear a lot of drinking goes on with the RoundUp so we bought a growler of beer. I just had water. My Mom wouldn't let me in the "Let'er Buck room . . . I guess it gets pretty wild in there.

Once again, the whole experience tired me out. I pretty much slept the whole way back to Seattle. It's good to be home!

Family Reunion 2011

Our next stop on our trip was my Dad's family reunion. This is most of the crew.  It was sure hot - upper 90's and high humidity.
 

 Luckily, my Aunt Des rented a nice camper with air-con and let me stay in there.

To cool off some more, we got to go on a boat ride. It was my  first one and I was very brave, especially since I can't swim.

Everyone else was swimming in the water. I stayed on board to make sure everyone got back on okay.

 My very favorite thing though was driving the boat with my Aunt Barb. I'm really quite good at it.
As usual, though . . .
I found the whole ride a bit exhausting in the end and slept on the way back.

We're heading back home next. We're going through Yellowstone. I hope to see some big buffalo and Elk herds.

Arizona Ho!

We got to rent a big Penske truck to haul our furniture down to the new house in Arizona and more importantly, I got to go along. It was quite a drive down - a little too bouncy for me. I enjoy the refined ride of the car. The good news is the move is over and we are relaxing in the Arizona sunshine. I tend to stay indoors in the air-con, but love it down here. It's only been in the low to mid 100's quite nice coming from the 60 degree weather in Seattle!

We're off on another road trip as we head back home. We are in a car now, so I'm looking forward to the ride!

Winston turns 3

Wow!  My mom made me my very own birthday cake!  I celebrated with my good friend Gizmo. He got half the cake 

I even got candes. I blew them out too quickly before we were ready. I was just doing my normal snort, but you have to be careful with candles. Yvonne relit them for me so I could make a real wish.

Sunshine!

We arrived in Arizona in 90 degree weather!  It was a bit hot for me at first, but sooooo much better than the rain in Seattle. First things first .  . . a gin and tonic poolside.

 

Wow!  That was pretty strong . . . I'm a light weight.

I'm not much of a swimmer, but I thought I'd give it a try. This little raft wouldn't even hold me up. I sink like a rock. That's it for me and pool. I'll just drink out of it when I get too hot.

Road Trip

For Spring Break, we took a road trip to Arizona.

I usually sleep the whole way.

Happy Spring???

Today is the first day of spring. The daffodils are blooming, but it's still cold here in Seattle. When can I stop wearing this wool sweater that my Mom knit me??

January Doldrums

There's not a whole lot to do in January in the Pacific Northwest. I spend a lot of time just staring at the fire. It's a little more cheerful than watching the gray clouds floating by outside.



I keep pleading with my folks to take another trip, but I guess we have to wait until spring.

Christmas in Arizona

We went to Phoenix for Christmas! It was great because it was just nice enough that we could be outside, but not too hot. (I can't take the heat.) Here is some pics of me hanging out with my cousins down there. I had fun and hated to leave and come back here to the cold weather.
