Opening Day of NFL - GO Seahwaks!

Pre-game . .. . Cruising around Seattle in my new jersey trying to rile up the fans.

Being born and raised here, I am a big Seahawks fan!  Let's go Seahwaks.

Game time. Watching on the big screen at the neighbors. Game One - not pretty, but it's a win! Undefeated so far this year . . .all the way to the puppy bowl . . . I mean super bowl!

If I was playing, I'd be a linebacker. Big upper body, little butt.

West Seattle Pet of the Week

I was out walking with my Mom the other day when I was approached by two reporters from the West Seattle Herald, our local paper. Apparently they thought I'd make a good Pet of the Week. I figured it was good publicity for my blog. I am a bit famous here anyway after winning the Halloween contest and all, but my Grandma Yvonne says not to let it all go to my head. Summer in Seattle

Arizona was fun, but we returned to fantastic weather here in Seattle. Fishing and crabbing has been good and enjoying time with friends even better! My family is very blessed to be enjoying this good life!

Fourth of July

 What a great treat . . . my cousin Jamie was also in AZ studying for the Bar. We spent July 4th together. I didn't like the sparklers much. It mean, it was already 120 degrees. We didn't need fire!

Summer Vacation

We made our annual trek to Arizona. The road trip was long, but the hotels were comfy!

Father's Day

My Fifth Birthday

I had an amazing start to the day with my very first birthday party.  My friends from the neighborhood, Scupper, Cheeto, Paddy, and Gizmo, all attended and I gave out treat bags. I can't believe my mom used pooh bags for that. I hope no one got them mixed up with the "official"ones that were also being collected!

Had a great Mother's Day here in Seattle. I got up early (quite a feat for me) and got my Mom a Cinnamon Dolce Latte and delivered it to her in bed.  The best part was snuggling in again when I got home. My Mom loves that too!

Then, I got to go on a Frenchie Walk/Playgroup. My dog Mom didn't get to come today, but my Grandma did. Below is a picture of me with my Grandma Gertie.

We were blessed today by an unexpected, sunny day! There are signs of spring everywhere - flowers, new growth, longer walks.

My Mom knitted these booties for the next Stoyer generation (Niece Emily's son born a few days ago). She made me model them before sending them off.  Sorry Emily and Bentley!

Christmas 2012

The drive down to Arizona was challenging. There was lots of snow in the pass and we had to use chains. My mom made me get out of the car and take this picture in the snow. I wasn't too happy about it

We finally made it to AZ. High and dry! Although it was a little cooler than normal. The surprise for me was that my Grandma Stoyer came down to spend Christmas with us. What a treat. I can't believe I didn't get a picture taken with her. What was my Mom thinking! 

Is that a present for me under the tree? Yes!  A sock monkey!! Thanks Grandma. I do love the sock Monkey. And yes, that is our tree from Washington that was floating in the flood!

 

  Back home in Seattle. Calmer weather prevails for now!

Flood

I haven't blogged since Thanksgiving so thought I'd take MLK day to get caught up with all of you! A lot has happened since then. Most notably a week before Christmas we had what is considered a "king" tide (over 14 ft.) along with that came a wind storm. Even though my Papa was pumping water out of the bulkhead to the street and we had sandbags, the whole apartment flooded. I was scared. I am  pretty low to the ground and can't swim! I was upstairs with Jerry (our landlord) through the ordeal. Mom and Dad managed to get most of the furniture to high ground. In the end between 7 and 10 inches of water was in the apartment. Interesting fact . . .  My bed floats as do most of my toys. We stayed with Jerry and Yvonne until we headed south to AZ for Christmas and warmer/dryer weather!
